Celebrating the Newest Members of Our Waggles Family
Celebrating the Newest Members of Our Waggles Family
Every year on August 26th, something pretty wonderful happens. Dog lovers everywhere pause their busy lives to celebrate the animals who somehow manage to make every single day a little brighter. Here at Waggles, National Dog Day has always felt like a holiday made just for us. We get to watch families walk through our doors and leave with a new best friend every week. There is nothing quite like it, and this time of year gives us a reason to stop and really soak it in.
A Day That Belongs to Every New Beginning
If you have brought home a puppy from us this year, or even if your dog has been part of your family for a while now, National Dog Day is for you too. It is easy to get caught up in routines, walks, feeding times, training sessions, and forget to just enjoy the fact that there is a dog in your life who thinks you hung the moon. We hear the stories all the time. The family who had been talking about getting a puppy for years and finally took the leap. The kids who begged for a puppy and finally got their wish. Every single one of those stories is worth celebrating, and today is the day to do it.
How We're Celebrating This Year
Sharing Your Stories: There is nothing we love more than hearing how a puppy from Waggles is settling into their new home. If your pup has a story worth telling, whether it is a funny first-week mishap or a milestone like mastering a new command, we want to hear it. These stories are a huge part of what makes this job so rewarding, and National Dog Day feels like the perfect excuse to ask for them.
A Little Extra Love for Our Own Crew: Behind every Waggles is a team that adores dogs just as much as our customers do. Our staff spend their days caring for puppies before they ever meet their families, and that kind of dedication deserves a moment of recognition too. National Dog Day is a good reminder of why our team shows up every single day, rain or shine, tails wagging.
Encouraging Everyone to Slow Down: Life gets busy, and it is easy to let quality time with your dog slip into the background of a packed schedule. Whether that means an extra-long walk around the neighborhood, picking up a new toy, or just a few extra minutes of belly rubs on the couch tonight, we hope every dog out there gets spoiled a little today. Slowing down, even for an afternoon, is a small gift that means the world to a dog.
Spoiling Your Pup: For families who welcomed a puppy from us in just the past few weeks, National Dog Day is the perfect excuse to make the celebration extra special. A new toy, a favorite treat, or even a small outing to a dog-friendly spot in town can help mark the occasion and give your family one more reason to celebrate this new chapter together.
Here's to Many More Tail Wags
National Dog Day is a small thing in the grand scheme of the calendar, but it means a lot to us. It is a chance to celebrate not just the dogs themselves, but the families they complete and the joy they bring into homes across the country. From all of us at Waggles Charlotte, happy National Dog Day. Here's to the newest members of your family, and to many more years of wagging tails ahead.
